چکیده

Skin wounds are frequently influenced with microbial infections and inflammation, which need innovative agents for disputing them. Chitosan (Csn) was extracted from larvae of BSF “black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens” ethanolic propolis extract (Pro) employed synthesizing silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs), using facile biogenic protocol. The BSF-Csn acquired a yield 1.56%, 91.3% deacetylation degree, 88.600 Dalton molecular weight. Ag-NPs were effectually biosynthesized Pro, mean diameter 8.73 nm zeta potential -21.34 mV. antimicrobial activities assessment insect Csn, synthesized their composite against skin pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus Candida albicans) revealed the elevated efficiency individual superior action (Csn/Pro/Ag-NPs), 26.3 23.4 mm inhibition zones inhibitory concentrations 35.0 45.0 μg/mL toward S. C. albicans, respectively, exceeded actions commercial antibiotics. treatment rat’s this promisingly led to faster healing absence inflammation infection signs. powerful Csn/Pro/Ag-NPs as wound strongly advocate applications protection, disinfection, regeneration.

Preparation of tissue-engineered wound dressing consisting of chitosan fibers containing silver ion-doped bioactive nanoparticles for wound healing

Background: Wound healing is a complicated process involving the proliferation of the epithelial cells, deposition of granulation tissue as well as recruitment of inflammatory cells. It also is a hot topic of research for trauma, orthopedics and general surgery studies. There are many forms of cells involved in this process. This study aimed to design a tissue-engineered wound dressing consisti...

Active Silver Nanoparticles for Wound Healing

In this preliminary study, the silver nanoparticle (Ag NP)-based dressing, Acticoat™ Flex 3, has been applied to a 3D fibroblast cell culture in vitro and to a real partial thickness burn patient. The in vitro results show that Ag NPs greatly reduce mitochondrial activity, while cellular staining techniques show that nuclear integrity is maintained, with no signs of cell death. For the first ti...
